What I Have Learned as a BIM Student

By Alex Nepal · October 4, 2026

BIM at Nepal Commerce Campus combines technology and business, and that mix has shaped how I work.

Technology needs a purpose

Building a hostel management system with PHP, MySQL and XAMPP taught me that a system is only useful when it solves a real need: booking rooms, managing a stay and handling complaints.

Structure matters

Working with databases showed me how much clear structure matters. The same idea applies to websites: a sensible page hierarchy and good internal links help both users and search engines.

Learning by doing

Classes gave me the foundation, but I learned the most from real tasks, including my SEO work at Velox Labs. Trying tools, reading data and fixing issues made the concepts stick.

Seeing both sides

Business goals and technical details have to work together. I want a career where I can connect them.
